Client records:
Student personal information, driving lessons, emails, phone or paper-based correspondence can all be recorded. Much of this information is regulated by the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 and the Freedom of Information Act 1982.
Since 1999 driving instructors have had to keep detailed student records as part of their obligation to hold a current Driving Instructors Authority (DIA) under the Road Safety Act (Driving Instructors) Regulations.
Under this act the following legal obligations state:
“The holder of a driving instructor authority is required to keep any record required by the Secretary and to produce the records at the request of an authorized person.” – taken from the Road Safety (Driving Instructors) Regulations 1999 – Extension of Operation Regulations 2009. and;
Regulation 13 – “TSC currently advises applicant driving instructors that they will as a minimum be required to keep records in the English language and stored in a secure location for a period of at least twenty-four months.” – taken from the Road Safety (Driving Instructors) Regulations 1999 – Extension of Operation Regulations 2009.
Nepal Driving School and Driving Instructors agree to adhere to the Australian Privacy Principles from time to time in force (if applicable) and that the Nepal Driving School Privacy Policy forms part of this Agreement.
Learner Drivers agree that Nepal Driving School may collect and use Learner Driver information and personal data for marketing purposes and for the provision of services through or by the Nepal Driving School website.
Learner Drivers agree that Nepal Driving School may collect their name, location and email address, contact details, driver license detail, age, gender, medical condition and financial information.
Learner Drivers agrees and understand that they may obtain access to personal information that Nepal Driving School has on record by sending a request to admin@nepaldrivingschool.com.au. Learner Drivers agrees and acknowledge that they have read the Privacy Policy and accept its terms including any subsequent additions or variations to this policy which Nepal Driving School may make from time to time.
